This work draws inspiration from the view of the land enabled by Google Earth. The lines and traces left on the land by roads, settlement, enclosures and boundaries by colonisation give rise to her layered and sculpted linocut prints on paper. Reminding of the palimpsest of hidden and overt traces of human activity, Pamela attempts to capture the complexity, intricacy and historical overlaying of these traces as viewed from above. Networks and spaces speak of the overt and the hidden, of mysterious linkages and a silenced past
